Moms In Touch International (MITI), a ministry designed to encourage mothers to intercede for their children and the community, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Founded by one mother who cried out to the Lord as her children attended public junior high school, the program has blossomed to where 175,000 mothers in the US now take part. In addition, MITI claims that mothers in 132 countries are currently actively praying.

Arise! Cry Out!

Moms In Touch InternationalThis year, MITI is hosting a special prayer event to coincide with its silver anniversary celebration – Arise! Cry Out!  The event will be held at Rock Church in San Diego, California on October 9th and 10th, a 3500-seat sanctuary where prayers and praise will be offered up to the Lord. MITI Founder/President Fern Nichols will be speaking as will Rock Church’s Pastor, Mike McPherson. The worship team from Crimson Bridge will be present as well.

On Saturday, October 10th, a four hour segment of the event will be professionally recorded and used at Host Sites around the world on November 14th, as a way to corporately unite believers to intercede on behalf of children and schools.

When Moms Pray Together

MITI also announced that Focus on the Family – a long time supporter of the ministry – will release MITI’s book titled, “When Moms Pray Together: True Stories of God’s Power to Transform Your Child.” The book will feature twenty-five powerful testimonies of prayers answered in MITI groups.

You will be able to read accounts of where mothers stormed the gates of heaven to ask God to help their children who were caught up in drug abuse, rape, physical abuse, eating disorders, learning disabilities and medical traumas. Testimonies from women around the world and from one Mom in prison are shared in the book.

You’re welcome, Tracy! Although my wife is part of the group, we know a lot of women who are. What a great way to come together for prayer and fellowship.

For me, Moms In Touch has been an easy, non-threatening way to make meaningful connections with other moms, as well as provide personal relief through putting my children’s needs into God’s hands through prayer.
