Children’s Heart: Reality TV Pilot Debuts
I missed the debut of Children’s Heart on Wednesday, a reality television show based on the Children’s Heart Project of Samaritan’s Purse. That special project, which is designed to help high risk children who have serious heart problems, is the centerpiece of the series pilot.
Helping Critically Ill Children
To date, the Children’s Heart project has helped more than 550 children with congenital heart problems, youngsters who don’t have access to that kind of care in their own countries. Working with North American hospitals and surgeons, who donate their time, and with host families, who open up their homes and lives to these children, the Samaritan’s Purse project cuts through the red tape by providing emergency relief in the name of Jesus Christ.
Cissie Graham Lynch, who is the daughter of Samaritan’s Purse president Franklin Graham, participated in the making of Children’s Heart. Cissie narrates the embedded trailer and plays a role in the show.
View On TV Or Online
If you’re disappointed that you missed the series premiere then you’ll be glad to know that the show is viewable online and will also appear on select stations over the coming days. Check out this calendar for show times or go the website to watch it online.
Samaritan’s Purse is an international Christian relief and evangelism organization that provides no-red-tape assistance to meet the physical and spiritual needs of individuals in crisis situations – especially in locations where few others are working. Samaritan’s Purse has worked in more than 100 countries to provide aid to victims of war, disease, disaster, poverty, famine and persecution.
